Did anybody see Nancy Grace last night talking about Michael Jackson?
by oppgirl63 indiane diamond was doing a piece on the storage facility someone bought out that had a pile of mj's stuff in it.
he was showing her some of the things he had (he's going to auction them off).
he said "here's a little sock, some soiled underwear, and here's a watchtower".

Ya crump but it's Michael Jacksons soiled underwear. Doesn't that make you feel all fuzzy inside. Id rather look at his soiled drawers than watch Nancy Grace.

If you read the comment below the video you will see many people found this a cruel thing to do to an animal. Imagine doing it to people. I still have to say though it made me laugh.

Ya Gd everyone has a staory and as was mentioned above, I myself have the same moto of " There before the grace of God go I". It could be anyone of us. I also agree that I don't think the witnesses give a ratrs ass to this as they are the ones who send a lot of people on this road.

Very good point Mrs. Mc D. I just wanted to define homelessness and the streets a little further. When I say " On the Steeets" that can mean many different things as there are many levels of street life. It can literally mean living there as many actually do with no home. I knew a fellow named animal, that was like that. He came from a menonite community and literally lived on the street. That is extremely harsh. They pan handle and try to get little extras. You can see them at missions for food but they do not choose to sleep there. Most of the time a lot of these folks can pick up a street allowance from welfare unless they have abused the system. I have been homeless a couple of times and been ouside but I could not live that way for long. I have pan handled and slept at missions many times but didn't want it as a life style. If you live at the YMCA you are considered homelss in the eyes of the government.
As far as street life goes well there's those who hang out, those who cause trouble, those who deal drugs, those who work as prostitutes, male and female on the strip. They have homes or places to go to but they spend most of there time on the streets. Thats what I mean when I say I was a street person. I met all kinds in my travels. One fellow I met was an Xjw that did chalk drawings on the side walk. He did 10 years in kingston Penn for bank robbery. I knew another felow xjw that was a male prostitute. I've met xjw strippers before too. This is an element a lot of people on this board may not be as familiar with. I do not feel sorry for all homeless people some of them want to be there.
I did know a very nice guy that was actually homeless for 10 years. He was an ex mormon. He was the kindest fellow I ever knew. He wore the same clothes year after year sewing them and carried all his possessions in a bag. He was a great looking guy but something I beleive was troubling him deeply and his teeth and everthing else were starting to deteriorate. I always used to bring him to my little apt. when I saw him. He is an artist but a drifter and he will probably die in the very hole he dug in the ground for his shelter which he covers with a board. This post is for you Jeff.I will post a pic of me with my freind Scott Marshall when we was buds. He since moved to New Zealand and I hope his life has gotten better. I hope I can find it.

Do You Agree With This Quote?
by Confession inand, if so, why?.
"there is nothing that makes us feel so good as the idea that someone else is an evildoer.

I think that is true for people who do evil themselves and wish to feel justified or virtuous. I'm not a saint but it doesn't make me feel good. Religions need this feeling of virtuousness and need a scapegoat to unify against. I have a quote too from memory. Never has man felt better about himself in doing evil than in the name of religion. I think that was a French philospher but I can't remember his name.

What Was Your Mindset Like When You Were Disfellowshiped?

it was a sad heart wrenching reality that fourteen years of my life in this organization had finally .

My situation may be a little differnet than others. Because of the embarassing nature of my case, I was trying to fade literally by disappearing. It was a witness girl that I confided in who ratted me out. The most amazing thing is she had already slept with several people but was a consummate liar. Also she was related to an elder in the cong who was part of my judicial committee. She got away with bloody murder along with several others I knew of. I was the scape goat of the century. I couldn't take the pressure of being seated at the back by myself and being sneared at and ignored like I didn't exist by everyone I grew up with. It was my father who begged and pleaded to me to face the committe. I did it for him. If I had lied I would be a free man today. Or if I had ignored my fathers request. The committe was absolutly hell bent on busting my balls. Lieing is how she survived all those years. The elders needed a scape goat cuz there own kids were partying like animals. They needed someone to point the finger at and we had the perfect cooperating naive family to do that. They pretty much took about 5 minutes. They asked me to leave the room so they could pray for an answer from Jehovah. When they came out they pretty much said bye bye. My state of mind I was, I was still a beleiver and my structure was destroyed. My own brother slammed the door in my face and locked it. I just couldn't take it anymore. I left home not knowing about nutrition and ate at Mc Donalds till my face turned green. I was too depressed to work, had no freinds, didn't know about welfare and slept in my air tight Lincoln Continental. I can remember actually feeling a numbness in my whole body and my mind was incapable of any significant thought. I think that is called post traumatic stress.
Anyhow, I met a back fellow I used to work with in a factory and his family you might say adopted me in the very rough Southvale project. They protected me cuz they knew dam well I was a very nice guy. I will never forget them for that.
We eventually parted ways but things got worse for me. I was never the same again in terms of being able to smile and feel accepted. A few years later I tried going back and they shunned me again. Thats when I swore never ever again to be a witness and my hate for them grew as I watched them get to live there lives with impunity. A freind of mine the same age had been accepted as an international model in Toronto and they ruined his career to. I honestly don't know to this day what he did wrong but they sat him at the back of the kingdom hall for, get this, 15 YEARS! This was there new scapegoat and they got lots of mileage off his ass. I'm so glad now I gave them the finger but the damage they caused in my life has been prolific and coloured every aspect of my existence. I have survived everything they threw at me. It didn't work! Now they will have to deal with me as they age and I get stronger and angrier. They took from me things I didn't even knew I had. They will pay one way or another.

Adjusting well after leaving the dubs
by greendawn inafter you left the jws what were some milestone events that helped you adjust to normal life outside the cult eg meeting a genuinely christian group, or getting a good job with high income, marrying a nice "worldly" person.
after leaving i had a nice girlfriend which helped a lot to ease the tensions and an interesting job where i met a lot of people and had some good social life.
soon the jw world became a distant storm far below and after the internet came out i got the long since needed information on some still outstanding issues and lost all esteem for them as i realised the fds was definitely an elaborate con.

Its funny you know carpenter those are good suggestions. In a funny way though I resent having to fill my head with counter arguments to these boobs. Perhaps it is a necessity. Thing is, I have crafted many clever arguments and everytime I give it my best shot my fahter unbeleivably tears them to peices. He is very clever indeed. Both him and my oldest brother reckon they can take on Terry or Narkissoss or leolai, Gary Bus ,whoever you like. They think they're that good! Frankly I'd be amazed if they could Bs this board. I'd love to see it. There is never any affirmation from that neck of the woods for me. As far as school goes another great suggestion except I suffer fron depression and my school years were very unhappy for me as I recall.
